Coachella

I am by no means a Coachella expert. I have been once. BUT I still learned a lot of useful information and while I’m going ahead and making a travel guide I thought I may as well include it. So without further rambling…

General Tips

  • Bring a film camera. Everyone loved looking through the cellphone shots but the later-developed film held different memories.

  • Wear good shoes

    • Bring blister band-aids

  • It’s hot during the day and quite cool at night

  • Don’t rent a locker. We rented one and didn’t go to it once during the whole festival.

  • Buy your tickets pre-sale before the lineup is announced

  • Bring a small fanny pack or backpack. I figured a fanny pack was harder to pickpocket.

  • If you want to see a show close to the stage, be prepared to show up several shows early and slowly force your way through to the front.

  • Decide on a meeting point if you get separated, there’s bad cell service and it makes it easier to find people.

  • At night if you’re trying to find someone in a crowd, ask them to hold their phone flashlight under their water bottle and flash it. It’s really visible.

  • Don’t bring cash if you have ApplePay, you won’t need it

  • Try to limit how often you need the bathroom and go before you jump on a shuttle

  • It’s really dusty, a bandana worn around the mouth and nose is very functional and very on par with Coachella fashion
